Some of the FC-30 type chokes I've "cracked open"
(opened the sealed box) were made up of two FC-15
type choke circuits in parallel.
-
One can wind a true 30 amp choke, but it's going to
be a bit of work.
-
I have a few 30A chokes here... some are made up
of really stiff solid wire, some use square rod bent
as wire, some use more than one ferrite rod... some
are mounted on G-10 PC boards. All use enamel
insulated type wire except an oldie which is a wild
trifilar type.
-
cheers

Greetings,
I recently aquired a B&W FC-15 and a couple FC-30s. I
know they're filament chokes but wonder if anyone
knows anything more about them.
Thanks
