speaking so loudly they sounded like they were running 30db of speech 
compression.  They were sooooo loud that I could lay the telephone 
handset down and use it like a speaker-phone.  Who knows, perhaps "Anchor 
Steam powered" would be a significant advantage in ham contesting?
