[AMPS] Noise

Hello Ampers All:
My PT2000A 2 3-500A amp has done years of good service.
It has a blower which now seems to be generating QRN : clicks about 3 per
second that I can kill with the noise blanker on my TS850. A bit like
ignition noise.
I thought that it had a squirrel cage motor with no brushes or anything that
could spark.
Any ideas on what the problem might be before I start pulling things apart?
