a passive input network could be used if the input resistance was 450 oh.ms and a 
1:3 turns ratio(1:9 impedance ratio)  transformer used. This would require less than 4 watts

This could probably also be done using 4 x 4CX250 or similar tubes in 
parallel.




The ex-DDR  KN-1E amplifier using 1 4CX250 as driver 
and 4x 2CX250 in the final would do it but is very big and noisy...
