[Amps] Help unsubscribing

Hi gang:
I have had no success unsubscribing from the list.
I've tried everything, including following the rules :-)

"If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing list,
"you can send mail to <Majordomo@contesting.com > with the following
"command in the body of your email message:
"    unsubscribe amps

When I follow the above instructions, I get:
>Your message has encountered delivery problems to the following recipient(s):
>Majordomo@contesting.com
>Delivery failed
>550 5.1.1 <Majordomo@contesting.com>... User unknown

Can anyone shed any light on this?
