I did help many times friends with failures in ceramic wafer switch 
contacts, typically Heath SB220.
That kind of switch is not so common, at least here, but contacts of 
that kind are instead similar in many other wafer switches.
I don't know if you are good in workmaship, but it's not so hard, if 
you're good in hand works, to replace wafer contacts.
Of course you need proper set of tools like a precision mini-drill with 
accessories.
New micro rivets can be built with brass wire or found in shops selling 
kits for radio controlled car or airplane models.
Just to share what I used to overtake a problem.
