[Amps] Capasitors Question

In low voltage Power Supply (ie:12 volt) for current amount 1A, it's usually
use 1000uF/16volt capacitor for smoothing DC ripple.
But why in high voltage PS (ie: 2500 volt) for current amount 1A, only use
50uF/2500Volt for smoothing DC ripple ??..
Any body knows why....??
