Gents,

FYI... RTV which out gasses acetic acid, (this happens
during curing), is bad for any electrical connections.
It will corrode and make them fail over time. To know
for sure if the RTV you want to use is right for your
application, check the manufacturers data sheet. 
I ran into this problem at work and did the failure
analysis of the circuit/connections, which proved that
the culprit was the wrong RTV for the application. 
The data sheet specifically said that it was bad for
copper metal! Someone originaly failed to the proper
research!
