I run Heising modulation regularly on 10 AM with the old Globe Scout 65.
It gets good reports but as stated earlier it cannot compete with my
Ranger/s
or other high level rigs. With respect to teary eyes let me add I use a JT30
microphone with the old Scout.   :>)
Another fun thing I have found is the little R/S HTX10 which is dedicated to
watching the 10 AM window. I have made several really good QSOs with it
and the 7 watts it provides. Last contact in the log was Jack KH6CC on the
15th. You can still hear that AM sound listening to 10 meters at 29.000 and
above. Some big rigs on there too.  Check it out.  73, Mike K0AZ
