Nice pix!

My 2 cents worth... others may have better thoughts on this...

I'd trace the circuit, since there's really not much to a linear...

Start from the output and go to the input... it will look just about
like every other linear with a few details being different...

As far as booting it up, the powersupply needs to be working
properly first. Assuming solid state rectification, you could bring it
up slowly and make sure it is providing the requisite filament
voltage and B+'es... just don't test it with your hands or other
body parts...

You might want to lose that old Dayton blower... probably
more than the tubes need, and *very* loud... at least remote
the thing into a baffling box and run the air up via some
plastic tubing or dryer duct, etc...

You should be able to find the Heath PS somewhere on the web...

Since the thing looks good, and unburned, I'd then just fire it up
into a dummy load and see if it sits there with the proper quiescent
current... I'd want to know what the pot with the long shaft does...
bias??

I don't recognize it, but I stopped reading ham mags about 1973 for
the most part, someone else might know it.

Looks nicely done... it's really too bad that the original builder's
documentation -
and it is very likely there was quite a bit, given the build quality - was
lost. :- (

(makes a good case for putting a schematic under plastic inside the cover
or on the inside of the bottom plate for homebrew gear)

Let us know how it fires up!
