I must apologize to the list for my rather childish follow-up on this topic 
yesterday.  The whole affair seems to have sprouted from a personal 
disagreement to which I was not (and am not) a party and about which I know 
next to nothing.  This should have been obvious at the outset; I know 
better and I should have sat on my hands.  Unfortunately -- for everyone -- 
I didn't.  I apologize to all parties for any offense.
