**  the max speed limit is 1500W, +10%, so we get the benefit of the 
doubt.  A semi-friend of mine (K6KZI) had a BTI which produced c. 1680w 
pep for the FCC, and he was not cited.  For years, the FCC reportedly had 
numerous complaints that I was running 14k out on 40m in the daytime.  
However, most probably because they realized that I was using it when 
needed to cause embassassing interference to jammers with less suds, the 
FCC never bothered to make the 50-minute drive out here from Long Beach.
