[Amps] QSK-5 Relay Problem

Hey Jim
I had the same problem and at my side was a mechanical
problem with the open air relay.
My advice is to replace the open air relay by a vacuum
relay solution.
If you haven't got it yet I have got here the instructions
for the modification that a friend in the US send me.
Its on paper but I guess I kept the file somewhere in the
computer disk at work. ( I will look tomorrow).

I had not made any changes on my AL-1500 yet, but one day
I was so fed-up of loosing reception that I opened it up
and with a pliers I made a "cirurgic" intervention in the relay
(something that I don't advice you to do, Hi !), radio reception
seems to be holding on OK now, but Iam expecting that the problem
will happen again one of this days !
