The 3-1000Z has much more feedback-C  than a 4-1000A with both grids 
grounded.  For building a VHF oscillator, more feedback-C is better.

>Use 3-1000Z on GG will be avoiding the monster 6KV of plate voltage.

More V = more gain.  The cathode emission is the same.
