[Amps] Why hasn't solid state replaced tubes?

The ARRL IMD testing graphs show that the IMD products are not exact mirror
images as they appear on either side of the center frequency and may vary
by 5 DB or so, that's probably OK if the rig is healthy, but what if there
is some asymmetrical distortion?
