My TL-922 produces c. 1400w-pep in either AM or SSB. In AM, the carrier
level is c. 350w, and the indicated anode/plate current with or without
modulation is 400mA. Tuneup for both involves sending 50wpm dits on CW,
and tuning for max RF out. For AM, the carrier is either set for no
change in anode current during modulation, or 25% of pep out. Mic gain
is adjusted for minimal ALC indication.
