[Amps] Capacitor checker

Find a Heathkit IT-11 or IT-28.  They are fairly common on eBay and are
probably the best cap checkers ever made.  They will do hi-pot testing
to 600V as well as reforming old electrolytics.  They even have an L/C
bridge and resistance check.

Can someone tell me what is a good low cost capacitor checker. I wanting

use this to check air and vacuum variable caps plus doorknobs, something
that will check up to 1000 PF.

New to the reflector , collecting parts for a GS35B 6 meter amp. found a
lot of good info on the net but I'm sure I will have many more questions
