[Amps] Need Diagnostic help

  Tom,

 Since the 240 line is at least suspect, could you
take say, a 1KW electric heater, and a voltmeter,
and test the 240 line each side of neutral? I would
think if the line will be stable either side of neutral
with an electric heater it should be good enough for
an amplifier.

 Or maybe even try the amp on a "different" 240 
outlet in the house?
