[Amps] NEED help pse !

Hello,

I recently bought a second hand AL1500XCE.
S/N is 12622, and it's about 4 years old.

Having a problem with it, I found that the
meter board seems a bit different than what
the description says : The diode rectifier bridge
(board 50-01140-1) seems to be replaced
by a pair of diodes and an additional capacitor 
same as C2 (2200 microF, 25 V).

It is looking like a voltage doubler, but I am note
quite sure. As anyone experienced the same
"problem" ?

As it is a second hand PA, I thought the previous owner
might have done some modiffications, and I unsoldered
the components ... Any help would be appreciated !
