[Amps] Tough valves?

,Dear Sirs,

Federal Express completely destroyed my GU-78b tetrode
amplifier by dropping it on its face.

The power transformer was removed and shipped in a separate
wooden container, as per mfr specs.

The tetrode was in its socket, as that was how the mfr
shipped it to me from Australia.

The tetrode broke out of its socket when FedEx dropped it,
destroyed the socket, smashed through the plexiglass and 
crushed the tuning capacitors and tank coil.

It might be a good idea to remove as much as possible
when shipping amplifiers.
