Yesterday I visited a facility which is decommissioning, and there were eight ~50 MHz pulsed amplifiers, each with a Eimac 8974 tetrode (1 MW output CW) to be surplused. Same tube used to be called the X-2159. Anyone want to build a really big rig? 14 inch output coax. John K5PRO
