[Amps] Looking for pre-amps

I tried push pull source followers with a 2 turn loop about 1 metre square.
Unfortunately, I got about 80 volts rms across the tuned loop, and the
source followers departed this life very rapidly.........

A push pull cathode follower using a 6DJ8 twin triode with a 200 ohm to 50
ohm wideband xfmr in the cathode worked well........
