[Amps] Transformer core sizes

The below core sizes are in square inches and are determined from the 
formula below using M6 laminates or similar (mild steel).

Formula;  0.16  x  Square root of P
P = Power in watts

wattage = sq in.:

100 =1.6
250 = 2.53
500 = 3.58
750 = 4.38
1000=5.06
1500=6.2
2000=7.16
2500=8
3000=8.77

Keep in mind that the power in watts is the total power produced by all 
the windings including the high voltage, filament, and control windings. 
The area is measured by multiplying the length times the width of the 
center core of the laminations which pass through the middle of the 
winding. The legs are not included nor is the height of the core.
