[Amps] plate chokes little buddy

These are VHF chokes, typically 20 turns of #20 wire on a 1/2 inch form. The
purpose is to prevent any RF not blocked by the plate choke from exiting the
RF deck. A small value (10 ohms or so) wire-wound resistor does the same
thing, and also serves as a glitch resistor. There is typically a 1000 pf
bypass capacitor to ground on each side of the choke.

On most tube, hf ,rf, shunt feed, amplifier schematics there is a small RF
choke in series with and just below the main plate choke. A  much smaller
value in mh than the plate choke, sometimes it is a resistor rather than a
choke.  What is the purpose of this second choke and how is it's value
determined?
