I put 2200 ohms in series with 1000 pf each side of the choke to ground.
All fil chokes like plate chokes have points where they will make the final
oscillate. I also put a 100 ohm in series with 100 pf one side of the fil to
ground. This make the 4-1000 stable 160 to 10 meters. Check out a fil choke
With a grid dip meter interesting things happen above 30 MHz.
