[Amps] Polishing Aluminum Panels

Greetings,

 

I am considering polishing the panels on a homebrew amp to a mirror finish,
and I would like some advice on how to accomplish this.  I have a 7" buffer
that I can use and a few different grades of rubbing compound.  Where do I
start?
