Yes, I was surprised to discover that FedEx's ground rates are, in some 
cases, almost 50% lower than the USPS.

::Tip from someone who ships a lot of stuff: The rate you pay is the rate
you negotiate, if you ship enough.  Walk-in customers get no discounts;
steady customers with open accounts get all sorts of discounts.  It's
possible to get F/X and UPS into a bidding contest and come out with a rate
