frequently a Tentec shows up on ebay ... I have had good success with 
this... even has a bandpass control called "tone"
never got a "turn off the processing" request , since there is not the 
usual audible distortion products...
sold my datong, still have my diawa , mfj  and one other rf 
clipper.  Reminds me of the g3LLL clipper i put in my ft101 back in the 70s.
