I understand that. An air coil choke for 22 uH is not very big. I think
about 1/2" in diameter and about 2" long when using something like 22
gage wire. The point is that using a core will drop the number of turns
and the size of the choke. Down at 160 meters, it would drop the size a
good bit, or I would think. The 22 uH was given as a starting point to
go backwards  from by showing how much impedance was needed to block the
RF effectively.
