I've been musing for many years about what keeps a
manufacturer making tube type amps...the
commonly-heard phrase is that "any amplifier
manufacturer is in competition with estate sales".

Well, it seems that Henry may have drawn the same
conclusions.

>From the web page of their distributor (minor
punctuation errors corrected):

"Henry will no longer make any tube type amplifiers or
any HF amplifiers! Henry lost their main lease,
effective 01-31-05. Warranties will be honored,
service & some parts will be available. Henry will
continue to make vhf/uhf solid state amplifiers, order
thru radiodan. If you have any questions about the
above info, e-mail Ted henry at
henryradio at earthlink.net

Here's the URL from which that statement was drawn:

http://www.radiodan.com/Henry/hf_price98.htm

Homebrewing becomes more important!

73,

Dave W8NF
