I see the conversion of CB amp to ham service as a type of philanthropy... 
It takes them out of CB service, and makes them useful as ham amps!  They 
don't need to be type accepted because, for our purposes, they are "home 
made" amps when we finish... and we are allowed one per year of these.

Bottom line... talk away!
