More then 100% modulation Steve.
Probably grid 1, or screen modulation, if there isn't a big LF amplifier
in use for plate or plate and screen modulation.
Good luck with the Old Timer.

Objet : [Amps] Mod prob?

Hi all:

I obtained a homebrew linear - Shoebox II per CQ July 1967 - using 4 x
6HF5's.

Works really fine on SSB.

However, on AM the plate current meter and my SWR Forward meter swing
down
with speech/modulation...rather severely.

What might cause this?
How bad is this?

Tnx,
Steve
