There was some recent discussion on the list re. converting
illegal CB amps to legal Ham use. I am doing that but am
going to start with a single amp rather than paralleling two
together -- a significant reduction in complexity and time.

Solid State HF Amp (Mfr. Texas Star, Model: Sweet Sixteen)

Uses Eight 2SC2879 Power Transistors at 12VDC for 650W PEP.
Data here: http://www.cbtricks.com/Amp/txstar/1200-1600/

NOTE: This will be sold only to a licensed Amateur.

(Have two, selling one and keeping one to which I am
adding a switched HF filter, better toroids, etc. I have
some conversion-to-Ham-use information I can copy.)

Asking $500. including shipping conus.

(As with all used electronic gear this is sold as-is.
Would prefer local buyer who can test prior to purchase.)
