Especially when the plumbing code gets taken over by the NEC.
   
  We'll have all those extra "spare" copper pipes, and maybe they'll require extra PVC for safety backup drains as well.  Maybe we'll skip straight to 2x10s.  I can hear the tree-huggers' outrage now...
