[Amps] Alpha 87a Quality

Are there any significant differences in the quality of the 87a with ETO on 
the front panel circa 1993 versus later 87a with Alpha Power on the front 
panel ?  I know there were updates in PIN diodes and firmware but assuming 
all updates are current which would be a more desirable one to buy?
