Just checking the Google for Emtron
it's seen that their newest retail piece
is the two-box DX-4 running a couple
of GU-84b's in parallel.

One of the websites say "$8500.00"
retail.

That's $1.70 a watt.

The Commander HF-2500E with
3 X 3CPX800A7 triodes is $6K,
and it's dissipation rating is 2400 watts
so that's $2.50 per watt.

I don't know how much the QRO export
model with 3 x 4CX800's costs, (and can't
buy one even if I wanted to), so I can't give
you a bang-for-buck rating.

My old Heathkit SB-220 was $800 and
at 1KW was $0.80 a watt. The best.
