Mike,

Take a look at the projects by W4EMF <http://w4emf.gs35b.com> and K4POZ,
<http://k4poz.w4zt.com>.

Treat the GI-7B like any other old tube. It's a very stable little tube
that will give you 55 to 60% efficiency in Grounded Grid with tuned
input. I am currently doing a six meter conversion and retrofit of an
old butchered SB-200 with a single GI-7B.

Good luck with your project!

73, Tony W4ZT

I am in the process of building a new amp for 6 meters using a pair of these tubes. What kind of output did you get, and at what efficiency? I have seen data saying anywhere between 700 & 1200 watts for a pair at 6 meters, and at efficiencies from 57% to 68.5%
