When 6M is open, especially Es, 20 watts into a decent antenna is a heap.

In 1957, when I first got on 6M, my amplifier was an 832A running 8 watts input and I worked a lot of stations with an indecent antenna.

Granted, things are somewhat tougher on 6M now, because there seems to be a continuous and on-going contest, among a good number of stations, to see who can splatter up and down the band the furthest.

I now use an 8877 and 4 X 7 on six.
