Subject: [Amps] Var. Cap. Identify

Hello,

Need info. on an E. F. Johnson, split stator variable capacitor. The
Johnson label is damaged and all the information that can be obtained
from it is: 0.125" spacing, Model No. 1X3-906 (the "X" looks like a 5
and the "9" is not that clear either).

The capacitance of the sections, as measured with an Autek Analyzer
at 3.5 MHz, is 70 -20 pF and 140 - 30 pF. The number of plates per
section is 8 rotor and 7 stator, and 4 rotor and 3 stator.

Need information on what voltage this capacitor can support and are
the measured capacitance values correct?

         73,
         Mike, K4GMH
