5/8-32 UNEF is a standard(it's the PL259 and N type thread) while Model Engineers thread standards are 32 and 40 tpi in various diameters with a Whitworth thread form. 3/8 -32 is usual for potentiometer and small rotary switches. 73 Peter G3RZP
