Of all the solvents I have personally used, MEK is the most powerful
in terms of being able to dissolve anything. Because of that, it has
little application in electronics. Good for cleaning metal parts;
when you're done, the only thing left will be the metal. :-)
Another powerful solvent with similar characteristics is methylene
chloride, commonly used in paint remover. Again, not very useful for
electronics.
