There's something called "Stoddard Solvent". It's the same as Varsol
and is a mixture of petroleum products. I think it's quite similar to
the "mineral spirits" used to thin paint. It's considered a hazardous
material, of course. I am sure I ingested lots of it in the past in
various jobs!
