Re these ringing transients - is it possible to simulate (shudder!) the effect to determine its theoretical magnitude?
>From deep in the past, I have a feeling that it's similar to the ringing that took place in a spark transmitter antenna circuit (the 'jigger'), and was affected by the logarithmic decrement of the circuit. At some value of logarithmic decrement, there was little output.............
