The ceramic is an INSULATOR., berillium oxide is a heat CONDUCTOR. Imagine 
the results if the anode heat was placed on the screen ring.

RCA used pink ceramic in the 60's on hi power tetrodes.

Throw the sheet off the fantail and be done with it.
