[Amps] Metron MA-1000B Help Several Question?

Question, did the Metron MA-1000B's ever come with the TRW PT 9847
transistors in it. 
What do you think of the Amp and these transistors? 
What is entailed in making the 10 meter mod on the Metron? 
How do feel you this amp compares with the new Ameritron ALS500M and the SGC
Power Cube
