[Amps] Metron MA-1000B Help Several Questions?

I have a few Questions

1: Did the Metron MA-1000B's ever come with the TRW PT 9847 transistors in
it.
 
2: What do you think of the Amp and the TRW transistors? 

3: What is entailed in making the 10 meter mod on the Metron?
 
4: How do feel you this amp compares with the new Ameritron ALS500M and the
SGC Power Cube
