Kevin,  I have been buying and using RF Parts 3-500Z tubes for the  last 7 
years in my SB-220 6 meter conversions.  Must have bought 20 sets of  them and 
never had a problem.  They are stable and make as much output on 6  meters as 
they do on 80 meters.  Don't know the long run on them, but they  do perform 
well.  In an SB-220 it is really hard to kill 3-500's because  they really don't 
run them up all the way.  the average SB-220 does about  1100 to 1200 watts 
out with 100 in.  They can do 25% more output as shown  by Henry and Ameritron, 
so in an SB-220 they last along time.  Many  SB-220's  still have original 
tubes still making maximum power  output.  Lou
