[Amps] BeO in tubes

In the mid 50's, I handled some 1625 tubes 
without any gloves or other protective devices.  
Now, my hair is gray and seriously thinning, 
my eyesight is not as good as it was, my 
hearing is in the pits, my memory sometimes 
fails, I am getting a belly and my tolerance 
for baloney is lower than ever.

Could these symptoms be related to BeO?
