The question of a suitable grease for roller
inductor parts came up in this reflector
about one year ago.

The material called molybdenum disulphide
grease was found to afford the best conductivity
while retaining a good lubrication property.

This factor made it more desirable for moving
part lubrication than Cool-Ohm silver grease,
which is a suspension of metallic silver in
petroleum media.

IBM was using the moly grease in card punches
many years ago, as was Bell Telephone using it in
the lubrication of stepper relays, also many years ago.
