I guess I just don't live right. I received my new Penta 3-500z tubes this morning. Tubes in the Penta sealed boxes. All packed in a 16x16x16 shipping carton. Shipped USPS. Plenty of foam and peanuts. Could have been dropped from the roof of my house without damage. Waiting for a call from the seller now.
   
  Well, you guessed it, one of them was broken.  No damage to the shipping container, no evidence that it had be dropped. Oh well...
   
  My question is: Would there be any problem with running the one new Penta (Chinese) along with an old Eimac? The Eimac seems to be working well in testing it by itself in the SB-220. Before a bang which damaged the other Eimac there was full output on the SB-220.
